Why do Jews win so many Nobel Prizes?

This year I notice Jews have been awarded Nobel Prizes in Physics, Medicine (Physiology) and Economics. In total they have won 22% of all Nobel Prizes ever awarded despite comprising only 0.2% of the world's population.

Of the some 2,600 Jewish scientists who fled from Germany to Britain and America during the 1930s; as of 2016 Britain had gained 27 future Nobel scientists, and the U.S. 47.
